Navision Manufacturing provides basic MRP II functionality, which essentially means we offer functions for business planning through execution.
Our system offers you the flexibility for regenerative and net change capabilities. Regeneration re-calculates demand, deletes all planned production orders and calculates all net requirements. Net change does not erase the planned orders but merely recalculates orders based on net changes.
The calculation of MRP leads to suggestions for both production items and purchased items. Evaluating various what-if scenarios, for easy simultaneous generation of multiple MRP runs, is accomplished through the use of multiple MRP Worksheets.
There are three different methods for MRP Calculations:
- Calculate MRP Schedule Automatically generates worksheet entries assuming infinite loading; can be run in regenerative or net change mode.
- Replan MRP Worksheet Used to calculate lower level requirements for manual entries. Refresh MRP Demand If you make an adjustment to a manual entry, you run this function and adjustments in dates are made.
When you are satisfied with the MRP suggestions, you can automatically convert the MRP Worksheet Lines to Purchase Order Requisition lines and Planned or Firm Planned Production Orders for required sub-assemblies.
